Day 1 ARRIVE IN BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS Welcome to Beantown! At 6 pm, meet your traveling companions for a welcome drink. Your Tour Director will prepare you for your upcoming adventure.

Day 2 BOSTON–PORTLAND, MAINE–BAR HARBORSea Treasure Head north through New Hampshire and into Maine for Portland, one of New England’s most famous cities. Stroll down the cobblestone streets of Portland’s famous Old Port Exchange, lined with its many boutiques, coffee houses, and art galleries. Continue to Bar Harbor, on Mount Desert Island, Maine’s oldest summer resort. Join us for dinner tonight with a traditional [LF] lobster bake. (B,D)

LOCAL TASTES Taste the traditions of the Atlantic seaports with a lobster-bake dinner in historic Bar Harbor, featuring Maine lobster, or chicken, or steak, potatoes, and fresh corn-on-the-cob. Delicious!

Day 3 BAR HARBOR. EXCURSION TO ACADIA NATIONAL PARK Atlantic Adventures Visit stunning Acadia National Park. Free time this evening. (B)

Day 4 BAR HARBOR–NORTH CONWAY, NEW HAMPSHIRE Naturally Beautiful New England Back to the mainland and west through Maine for vistas of sparkling lakes and forests. Then, on to New Hampshire and the scenic White Mountains, New England’s greatest range and premier outdoor playground. Later, enjoy the [LF] Raven Interpretive Program with a Local Naturalist. Free time this evening. (B)

WILD & WONDERFUL Travel through New England’s great White Mountains including the unique topography and wildlife on your way to New Hampshire’s Raven Interpretive Program site. Join a Local Naturalist to hear the fascinating stories about the unique environs of northern New England and the wealth of local wildlife here.

Day 5 NORTH CONWAY–WOODSTOCK, VERMONT–KILLINGTON Spectacular Sights & Bites Visit an iconic covered bridge and take photos of the classic New England fall colors. Then, enjoy a beautiful drive through Franconia Notch and along the renowned Kancamagus Highway. Hugging the Connecticut River, cross into Vermont and visit Woodstock, its village green reminiscent of 19th-century England. Visit Billings Farm & Museum. Continue to Killington. (B,L,D)

Day 6 KILLINGTON–STOCKBRIDGE, MASSACHUSETTS–STURBRIDGE Classic Americana Journey south to Stockbridge in the Berkshire Mountains for a visit to the Norman Rockwell Studio & Museum, housing a large collection of works by one of America’s most iconic artists. Continue to Sturbridge for an overnight and a memorable [LF] Colonial style dinner at the historic Publick House. (B,D)

LOCAL TASTES Enjoy a traditional Colonial-style dinner, served New England-style with true Yankee hospitality. Dine in an atmosphere that has maintained its 18th-century ambiance, furnished with oversized wingback chairs and couches by the fireplace, and vintage brass beer taps and rum barrels.

Day 7 STURBRIDGE–MYSTIC SEAPORT, CONNECTICUT–NEWPORT, RHODE ISLAND Into the Mystic After a leisurely morning, visit Mystic Seaport and the Museum of America and the Sea. On to Rhode Island, the “Ocean State” for a free evening. (B)

Day 8 NEWPORT Spend your day your way in Newport.
Today, enjoy a Newport orientation tour and see the first state house, the nation’s oldest synagogue, and St. Mary’s Church. Then explore more of Newport with your choice of included excursions. This evening, your Tour Director hosts a special farewell dinner at a local restaurant. (B,D)

Day 9 NEWPORT–BOSTONBoston’s Bold History Depart this morning for Boston and take a guided walking tour of the city’s landmarks. After a transfer to the airport for departing guests, the motorcoach continues downtown to the tour hotel, where the tour ends. Please schedule flights from Boston’s Logan International Airport after 3:30 pm. Want to explore more of Boston on your own? Extra nights are available for purchase. (B)
